Star Gazing Night Sky Tour
In our Star Gazing Night Sky Tours, we travel away from Twizel to an area with no artificial lights (housing or street lights), so we have a light pollution free night sky experience. While your eyes adjust, our Stargazing guide will introduce you to the wonders high above us using an astronomy grade laser to point out the night sky features. After this, you can use our high quality binoculars, which capture more star light, so you can see even more detail and reveal the hidden gems in our night sky. We recommend you dress for the conditions (a hat, gloves and a warm jacket), and although all footwear is suitable, we’d advise wearing comfortable, flat shoes.
Included in this Star Gazing Tour:
* Small groups only (maximum of 9) for a more personalised experience
* High Quality binoculars which allow you to appreciate more of the detail
* A highly experienced local guide
* Night sky features identified with a laser pointer that can reach 15kms into the sky
